目前院區內正在推動幾項建案及技術計劃，這也是 Zuckerberg San Francisco General 為持續改善病患照護品質所作的努力。
Upgrades and Clinic Relocations
Adult Urgent Care Center
On February 21, 2019, the Adult Urgent Care Center will move from Building 80 to Building 5, 1st floor, unit 1E, on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General campus. The project will improve access to care for patients and expand the clinic space. Adult Urgent Care will be the first clinic to relocate to Building 5. Other outpatient clinics on the ZSFG campus will soon be relocating to Building 5 (former inpatient hospital) which will become an Ambulatory Center.
Seismic Retrofit in Building 5
Plans are underway for a seismic retrofit project to strengthen columns in Building 5. The first phase of the project is expected to start in January 2019 on the south side of the building, and will eventually impact all floors. One to two rooms will be impacted at a time.
Eighty percent of the south side is unoccupied because many health care services have relocated to Building 25, the new hospital. Patients may experience construction barriers, noise and other disruptions during construction. Earplugs are available upon request for patients if needed.
Other Building 5 Upgrades:
- IT infrastructure
- Fire and Life Safety
- Mechanical and electrical
Rehabilitation Services Relocation
Construction is currently underway to relocate Rehabilitation Services from the ground level to a larger and updated area on the 3rd floor in Building 5. The project is expected to be complete in late 2019.
During construction, the northeast corridor on the floor will be closed. Also, access to the 3rd floor from the east elevators will be closed. Please use the northwest and southwest elevators instead. The 3rd floor will have a new corridor, similar to the 4th floor, connecting the southwest and east elevators upon completion.
Other clinics and services relocating to Building 5:
- Outpatient Dialysis
- Family Health Center
- Public Health Lab
