Chaplains are here to support you at your time of need
Request a Chaplain
To request a Chaplain visit for yourself or your loved ones, dial extention *68500 from a hospital phone or ask your nurse to call. From outside the hospital, you may dial: 415-206-8500.
A Chaplain Visit: What to Expect
Our chaplains are here to offer you emotional and spiritual support. Soon after you contact us, you will receive a visit from a member of our spiritual care team. You will meet a trained chaplain who’s only agenda is to listen and offer compassionate support. Expect a visit from someone who is trained to support you and be present with whatever is on your heart. Sometimes chaplains will offer relaxing breathing exercises, guided meditation or prayer, but only if that is something that feels supportive for you. We are here because we know the hospital can be a hard place to be and sometimes having a caring presence can make it little bit easier.
Prayer and Meditation Room
Our Prayer and Meditation room is available for use 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The Prayer and Meditation room is located on the second floor of Building 5, right around the corner from the cafeteria.
Prayer rugs are available for Muslim visitors. To request a prayer rug be brought to you, please knock on office 2C5, next to the prayer and meditation room, or call *68500.
