Services at the Adult Hematology Clinic help patients with a wide range of non-cancerous blood disorders. These include:

  • Myelodysplasia
  • Thrombocytopenia
  • Coagulation disorders

Patients with acute leukemias are referred to UCSF for acute treatment. So are patients who need bone marrow transplants.

Sickle Cell Clinic

We have a specialized Sickle Cell Clinic. This clinic provides a full range of care and case management services for adult patients with sickle cell disease and thalassemia. We can also consult on patients with primary care at other sites. A dedicated nurse can refer patients for other specialty care, like orthopedics and ophthalmology.
