To request a Chaplain visit for yourself or your loved ones, dial extension *68500 from a hospital phone. Or ask your nurse to call. From outside the hospital, you may dial: 415-206-8500.
Our chaplains are here to offer you emotional and spiritual support. Soon after you contact us, you will receive a visit from a member of our spiritual care team. You will meet a trained chaplain who is only there to listen and offer compassionate support. They will be trained to support you and be present with whatever is on your heart. Sometimes chaplains will offer relaxing breathing exercises. Or they might offer guided meditation or prayer. They will only offer something that feels supportive for you. We are here because we know the hospital can be a hard place to be. Sometimes having a caring presence can make it a little bit easier.
Our Prayer and Meditation room is available for use 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The Prayer and Meditation room is located on the second floor of Building 5, right around the corner from the cafeteria.
Prayer rugs are available for Muslim visitors. To request a prayer rug to be brought to you, please knock on office 2C5, next to the prayer and meditation room, or call *68500.
