Myisha

During Myisha’s initial visits with her obstetrician, while pregnant with her fourth child, a consistent discomfort led her doctor to look further. She was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. Myisha received very individualized and coordinated care through the Avon Breast Center so that her cancer could be treated while still carrying her baby to term. She had successful cancer surgery late in her pregnancy. Her healthy baby was born 3 weeks later. During chemotherapy and radiation treatment, when she was often too tired to even hold her new born child, it was the smiles from nurses and staff that gave her hope and helped get her through this very difficult time in her life.

Lorena and Jordan

Lorena discovered the quality of care at ZSFG through her experience at the Family Birth Center. Not only did she have a great birth but was very pleasantly surprised with the additional services offered her. She was able to see a therapist so she’d be ready for the challenge of being a single mom and got great breast feeding support. She felt everyone was there for her so she would be well prepared to welcome her son into the world. Jordan now receives care at ZSFG and she is delighted with the warmth and expertise of his pediatrician.
